Launch of Eco-Friendly Delivery Fleet
Fast Food Deliveries has taken a decisive step towards a greener future with the unveiling of its "Green Mile" initiative. The company has pledged to reduce its carbon footprint by 30% by 2028, starting with the immediate deployment of 500 custom-branded electric scooters in high-density urban centers.
The new fleet, manufactured in partnership with leading EV startup VoltHopper, produces zero operating emissions and is designed specifically for the stop-and-go nature of urban food delivery.
"Convenience shouldn't come at the cost of the planet," stated Elena Rodriguez, Chief Sustainability Officer. "Urban delivery is the perfect use case for micro-mobility. By replacing gas-powered courier cars with nimble electric scooters, we reduce congestion, cut noise pollution, and eliminate tailpipe emissions. It's a win for the driver, the customer, and the city."
Rollout Strategy
The initial fleet of 500 scooters will hit the streets in San Francisco, New York City, and Austin this month. Data from this pilot program will inform a nationwide rollout planned for 2026, with a goal of having 50% of all inner-city deliveries completed via electric vehicle or bicycle by 2027.
Drivers who opt into the "Green Mile" program receive subsidized lease rates for the vehicles and priority dispatching for short-distance orders, incentivizing the shift to sustainable transport.
